

When you make a recording in Screencastify, by default it records at whatever size/resolution your current browser tab is. If you are recording a browser tab with Screencastify, there are two ways to mitigate this issue: If after 30 minutes the video quality is still poor, then Drive or YouTube may have encoded your video at a slightly different resolution than the one it was originally recorded at. Usually this isn't an issue, but occasionally this rescaling can have an impact on the readability of small text or other details. But your video will ultimately appear in HD once it's ready. This process could take up to 30 minutes depending on the length and size of your recording. This is because both Drive and YouTube display a low-resolution version of your video while they're still processing the HD version in the background.
