

Say you have 2 devices, both 1TB drives, and you just want to move all of those files from one to the other.

As was stated earlier in the thread, a lot of it also depends on whether you're doing a copy or a cut/paste and whether you're doing the operation(s) to the SAME or DIFFERENT filesystems.

If it's Windows, never rely strictly on the native GUI for file copy operations of large sizes like that.
